ABOUT THE COMPANY 
The Finance Group Global Inc. is a women-owned and led organization providing outsourced finance and accounting services across North America. We service businesses across all industries by completely managing the company finance function through, Bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Analysis, Reporting, Compliance, and Strategic financial planning. 
 
JOB SUMMARY 
The Finance Group is growing quickly, and we are looking for a Part time Consultant CFO to help support our clients. This role will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on our client’s operations, helping them to analyze, strategize, and grow their financial position. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills and will have a long-standing record of leadership success in a previous role. Additionally, we are looking for someone with experience working in consultancy that serviced multiple clients and someone who has experience managing an Offshore team. Although we are a remote first company, this role will require some travel to clients by car or plane, as needed. 
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a CFO or Head of Finance. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience providing leadership, strategic and operational advice. 
  • CPA required 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with overall business objectives, and to adapt to changing market conditions. 
  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. and financial principles. 
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency. 
  • Results-oriented. 
  • High ethical standards, strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong commitment to the success of the company. 
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software. 
 
Key Responsibilities and Duties: 
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Developing financial strategies and plans that align with the overall business objectives of the organization. This includes creating budgets, forecasts, and financial models. 
  • Financial Reporting: Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. This includes preparing financial statements, managing audits, and complying with regulatory reporting requirements. 
  • Risk Management: Assessing and managing financial risk, including identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them. 
  • Capital Management: Managing the company's capital structure across different entities, including debt and equity financing, to optimize the company's financial resources. 
  • Investor Relations: Developing and maintaining relationships with investors and analysts and providing financial guidance and analysis to support the company's strategic objectives. 
  • Ensure internal controls are in place to plan, monitor and report on budget outcomes and financial resources, including compliance with financial policies and audit recommendations. 
  • Lead business planning processes, controllership, and audit functions. 
  • Lead corporate-wide functions, including business and operational planning for performance reporting and financial management. 
  • Provide guidance and leadership on corporate strategic planning processes, including recommendations regarding the development and implementation of organizational goals, policies, strategic projects, and operational plans. 
 
Team Development/Leadership: 
1) Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. 
2) Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results. 
3) Provide analytical support to The Finance Group internal management team including the development of internal management reporting capabilities. 
4) Ensure the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures. 
5) Ensuring the team has the necessary resources to achieve goals and objectives. 
6) Lead employees using a performance management and development process that includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
