ABOUT THE COMPANY

We service businesses across all industries by completely managing the company finance function through, Bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Analysis, Reporting, Compliance, and Strategic financial planning.
JOB SUMMARY
The Controller position oversees the financial operations of the client companies. The right candidate will oversee a team of bookkeepers and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the customer’s financial statements based on the specific customer mandates.
Required Qualifications:
• University Degree (preferably Business Finance) and CPA financial designation preferred
• 5-7 years’ experience in progressively responsible leadership roles in Finance
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses and financial principles
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Results-oriented
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Primary day-to-day responsibility for reporting, planning, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the client’s companies through the oversite of the bookkeeping team.
• Ensure organizational credibility by providing timely and accurate month-end closing process including reconciliations of general ledger accounts, preparation of monthly financial statements, and financial analysis of program/client profitability vs budgets
• Provide status of financial results by reviewing and reporting financial data. Review financial statements and ensure completion by the customer-specific deadlines
• Verify accuracy of financial information
• Reporting monthly Key Performance Indicators as needed or committed to customers
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required
• Special finance-related projects as assigned

3) Provide analytical support to The Finance Group internal management team including the development of internal management reporting capabilities.
4) Ensure the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
